Constantia FFP’s reclose technology is constructed from a mixed material laminate lidding film that has resealability built into the laminate structure. It is supplied on the reel and with in-house slitting facilities we can meet your exact specifications, so that the film fits perfectly with your machines. The film is supplied ready to run and will run at your normal production speed on any standard heat seal lidding line that can run registered film, without the need for costly modifications.
Opening up reseal technology to a wider range of categories
Reclose technology is becoming increasingly popular in the fresh, snacking and chilled aisles thanks to the additional benefits and consumer convenience it provides. With a wide aperture, reclose packaging lends itself to a wide range of applications including sliced meat or cheese. It can be reclosed multiple times which can assist in maintaining product freshness and can also be conveniently stacked in the cupboard or fridge so that there is no need to decant the contents into an alternative container. This gives brands a valuable opportunity to maintain visualisation throughout the lifecycle of the product.

Constantia FFP have developed a resealable lidding film that has been classified as ‘Recycle’ by OPRL and can be collected at kerbside through the existing waste collection system.
Previously lidding film was unable to be collected and would have to be removed from the tray by the consumer and sent to landfill or for incineration. Constantia FFP’s recyclable lidding film however provides a solution that ensures zero lidding film waste needs to be sent to landfill and instead can be collected at kerbside.
