Asda’s success story
Launch of 100% recyclable fruit punnets
This project was extremely important to us as it allows us to divert huge volumes of plastic from landfill, which is an integral step in Asda’s journey to make all own brand packaging recyclable. We worked closely with FFP throughout the project and were extremely impressed with their technical expertise and commitment. We are now looking at several other produce lines to continue working together towards our sustainable goals.
Sainsbury’s success story
Best New Concept Award Winner: UK Packaging Awards 2017
FFP showed tremendous innovation in their understanding of what we needed to best market our line of Cod and Haddock. The ovenable bag has been a success with Sainsbury’s, it boasts efficiency in transit and its design provides superb branding opportunities for our customers.

UK’s leader in dried fruits
The Evening Snacks range was an important launch for us and the packaging was an integral factor. FFP are an existing supplier and we were well aware of the excellent work they have been doing in sustainable packaging. It was therefore a natural progression to ask them to support us with this launch and to provide a recyclable packaging solution. We were delighted with the final packaging, the print quality is excellent and has enabled the range to really stand out on shelf and of course the recyclable credentials of the packs support our sustainable long term objectives.
100% recyclable sachets for hot fill applications
Our environmental responsibility is a core value for JDM and we were committed to finding a sustainable solution for our sachets. We were acutely aware that it was a tall order with a hot fill process, not to mention the requirement for a barrier film so that the functionality of the pack would not be impacted. We already had a great working relationship with FFP and with their reputation for innovation in sustainable packaging, we were confident they could provide a solution. They didn’t disappoint and the material they supplied runs efficiently at the same speed as our previous film, print quality on the printed material is outstanding and we now have a recyclable solution.
100% recyclable packaging for frozen vegan lines
This was an extremely important product launch for Gosh! Food as we were not only bringing a new product to market but also entering a new category. Our packaging had to be on point and maintain our brand integrity at the same time as being 100% recyclable. We have worked with FFP on previous launches with sustainable packaging solutions and were therefore extremely confident that they could take our brief and produce a pack that would meet all of our requirements. They didn’t disappoint and not only does the packaging tick all of our boxes, it runs extremely well on our packing line.
