Plastic Packaging Tax
The plastic packaging tax was implemented by the UK government in April 2022. A tax of £210.82 per metric tonne is now enforced for all plastic packaging components that do not contain at least 30% recycled material.

This project was extremely important to us as it allows us to divert huge volumes of plastic from landfill, which is an integral step in Asda’s journey to make all own brand packaging recyclable. Moving our production to a third party, was a huge milestone for us and a reflection of the success of the brand in the market place.
